Enterprises of the Krasnodar Territory invested over two billion rubles in the development of their own production in the first quarter of this year. This is 19.7% more than last year's figures, according to the website of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The record growth of investments was recorded in the pharmaceutical and personal protective equipment sector: here, investments increased more than 25 times. First of all, it happened due to active implementation of investment projects by Pharmservice, which started to manufacture masks and respirators. In 2020, the company received a subsidy and a preferential loan for this purpose, said Ivan Kulikov, head of the Krai's Industrial Policy Department.

"Investments in the chemical industry grew by 3.5 times, in the building materials industry - by 1.5 times, and in the mechanical engineering industry - by 1.4%. High figures were achieved due to implementation of large projects by mineral fertilizer producer Eurohim-BMU, Abinsk Electro-Metallurgical Plant, and ZESKMI, which produces metal structures in Krasnodar," the report says.

Currently, 21 investment projects worth over 80 billion rubles are being implemented in the industrial sector of Kuban. Thanks to that, over 9 thousand jobs will appear in Krasnodar Krai.
