Russian entrepreneurs can apply to the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives for participation in the grants competition in the field of culture, art and creative industries from June 15.

"It will be possible to apply for participation in the contest from June 15 to July 30, 2021. Not only nongovernmental nonprofit organizations, but also municipal institutions, commercial organizations and even individual entrepreneurs will be able to apply for grants. The lack of reference to the organizational form is the main difference of the new fund. The broader range of potential applicants was one of the arguments for the creation of a separate structure to support creative projects," said Ilya Chukalin, director general of the Presidential Grants Foundation.

The Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives organises competitions, based on the results of which presidential grants are awarded for projects in the field of culture, art and creativity. This year it is planned to distribute 3.5 billion roubles. The results of the contest will be summarized by September 15.

According to the organizers, independent expertise in the new contest will be based on the mechanisms worked out by the Foundation, but will have its own system of evaluation of applications consisting of 10 criteria, adapted to the peculiarities of the sphere of culture and creative industries.
