Residents of Technopolis "Moscow" increased production output by 23% to 19 billion rubles

Residents of Technopolis "Moscow" in 2020 produced 23% more products than a year earlier. The total amount was 19 billion rubles, according to the Moscow Mayor's Office portal mos.ru.

"Electronics, optics, and robotics industries produced the most products in 2020 - for a total amount of 12.68 billion rubles. The share of industrial enterprises of these industries accounts for 67 percent of the volume of all products created in the "Moscow" technopolis. For all time of existence of a special economic zone the volume of the made production has reached almost 81 billion rubles", - the deputy mayor of capital Vladimir Efimov which words are resulted in the message has told.

The second place in volume of products is occupied by residents - enterprises of cluster of medical technologies, equipment and biopharma. According to Alexander Prokhorov, the head of the department of investment and industrial policy, they account for 13% of the total output.

"This result has been achieved due to the prompt response to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Enterprises of the medical cluster set up production of necessary medical equipment and machinery in a short time, as well as retooled production facilities," he noted.

Technopolis "Moscow" consists of five sites with a total area of 223.3 hectares. One of them is located in Pechatniki and four in Zelenograd - "Alabushevo", "Micron", "MIET" and "Angstrem". There are tax benefits for residents of the special economic zone. For example, companies are exempt from property, land and transport tax for 10 years and enjoy profit tax benefits.
