The Russian Government has approved the procedure for reimbursing interest rates on loans for management companies of industrial parks and industrial technoparks.

"Management companies will be able to reimburse up to 2/3 of the interest rate on loans or tranches under credit lines taken between 2020 and 2022 for the creation, modernization and reconstruction of park infrastructure facilities. The subsidy will be provided for interest paid until 2030, both for the creation of new parks and for the expansion of previously established ones," the country's Ministry of Industry and Trade said.

Private management companies with a valid loan agreement or the approval of the bank's credit committee can take part in the selection process. The selection of the management companies will be held until the end of 2021, the Ministry specified.

Subsidies to park management companies were provided from 2015 to 2020. During this time, 11 management companies with a loan portfolio of more than 8 billion rubles were supported. The subsidies amounted to more than 1.2 billion rubles. The supported companies include industrial parks Grabtsevo, Vorsino (Kaluga Region), Zavolzhye (Ulyanovsk Region), industrial technoparks IKSEL (Vladimir Region) and Mosgormash (Moscow), the ministry added.

As of today, 278 industrial parks and 85 industrial technoparks are operating and being created in Russia.
