Moscow Technopolis resident will invest RUB 550 to increase data center capacity

Oxygen, a resident of Technopolis "Moscow", intends to invest more than half a billion rubles by 2024 to launch a new machine hall, said the Deputy Mayor of the capital, Vladimir Yefimov.

"The volume of investments in the site in Pechatniki by 2024 will be about 550 million rubles, of which almost 390 million rubles will be invested in equipment. As a result, the capacity of the data center is planned to increase by 40%," he said.

Now the data processing center (DPC) of the company occupies 2.7 thousand square meters, and in 2024 the area will increase to 4 thousand square meters. It will house the production complex, laboratory and administrative premises. Moreover, the company will increase the number of racks to accommodate server equipment, data storage and array processing.

Oxygen provides a full range of IT-services, from building its own commercial data-centers to developing cloud platforms and virtual IT-infrastructure. Last year, the provider launched a cloud platform in Singapore.

The Special Economic Zone - Technopolis Moscow consists of five sites with a total area of over 220 hectares, and over 180 high-tech companies are localized here. Currently, five data centers of several companies operate here.
