Fishermen will already be able to receive subsidies from the state for compensation of fuel costs this year. Such a decree was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
"The decision will affect fishermen who fish in remote areas. Subsidies will make it possible to reimburse up to 30% of the costs for purchase of marine fuel, "- the statement says.
RUR 461.5 mln is allocated for this purpose from the federal budget.
It is noticed that Rosrybolovstvo will determine the order of granting applications for state support. Information will be published at the departmental website and at the unified portal of the budgetary system of Russia, no later than August 31.
It is worth noting that the decision was made as part of the programme "Development of the fisheries sector". It was approved by the government in 2014.
The main task of the programme document was to increase the volume of aquatic bioresources extraction, stimulate domestic production, create favourable conditions for business and investment attraction, restore the raw material base of the industry and develop the scientific and technical potential of the fisheries complex.
