Moscow industrial production for five months of 2021 increased by 16%. This was reported in the press-service of the capital complex of economic policy and property and land relations, writes TASS.

The greatest dynamics has been fixed in processing industry - growth from the beginning of year has made 14,1 %.

In addition, the production of paper and paper products increased 2.6-fold.

Production of medicines and materials, used for medical purposes, increased by 87.1%.

Also the production of chemicals and products increased by 68.8%. This is due to an increase in the production of detergents, cleaning and polishing agents, deodorants and antiperspirants, as well as shaving and skin care products.

It is worth noting that the economic indicators of the metropolitan region are showing growth this year. According to Rosstat, investments of Moscow companies in the first quarter of 2021 increased by 16.8% compared to 2020, and amounted to 540.4 billion rubles. Moscow accounts for almost 18% of Russia's total investment in fixed assets.
