The project to integrate the Troika card into public transport in Moscow and the Moscow region won the international Transport Ticketing Awards 2021 in the category "Best smart ticketing solution program - more than 1 million trips a day".

Singapore and Australia competed for this award on a par with Russia.

The project was implemented together by specialists of Sber and transport departments of Moscow and Moscow region.

"The successful experience of Moscow and the Moscow region, as well as our fruitful cooperation in the field of transport help to introduce unique contactless fare payment solutions - such as SberTroika - in cities across the country," said Kirill Tsarev, Deputy Chairman of Sberbank.

He added that now "Troika" can be used in Tula and Moscow regions. In addition, the card in the "pilot" began to be tested in Komsomolsk-na-Amure, Ulyanovsk, Yaroslavl region and the Perm region. It is also planned to be launched in the Leningrad region and Khabarovsk krai.

As told the Deputy mayor of Moscow, Maxim Liksutov, the card supports more than 1.8 thousand combinations of fares, helps to create a transparent ticketing system and improve urban transport routes. He noted that for each region it is possible to develop an individual tariff schedule and take into account local specifics.

Liksutov reminded that Troika has a mobile application and several carrier options. It also gives access to different city services, for instance, you can use it to enter museums or other cultural centers, and a virtual version of "Troika" is planned for this year.
