Manufacturing companies will increase production of coronavirus vaccines Covivivac and Epivaccorona. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia Denis Manturov.
"The three sites involved in the production of "Epivakkorona" should deliver 9.4 million doses by December 20. Covivac producers also aim to increase production ahead of their commitments under the new contract, which are fixed at 2 million sets by December 15," TASS quoted him as saying.
Manturov said that already next month it is planned to include the site of Nanolek company in Kirov in the registration certificate of Kovivak. The volume of production of the drug by the end of the year could be about 3 million doses.
The Minister also reported that a total of 43.8 million full doses of all vaccines against coronavirus in the country had been released into civil circulation.
Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin earlier instructed to increase the production of vaccines due to the growing demand for them. "It is important to ensure a sufficient number of vaccines in the subjects of the Russian Federation," he stressed.
