The discussion of equal opportunities for men and women will be one of the topics of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), writes Roscongress.

The organizers expect to hold a discussion on equal opportunities on the margins of the forum. The Women's 20 is expected to play an active role in it.

Such integration of efforts will promote mutual integration of initiatives aimed at accelerating the formation of gender equality.

Galina Karelova, Vice-President of the Federation Council, explained that the pandemic has been a powerful blow to the global economy and is the source of many common problems that need to be "literally solved by the entire world".

"It is impossible to overcome the crisis and prevent new problems without the participation of women. Cooperation in international associations of women, in particular in the Women's 20, contributes to the development of effective recommendations for the advancement of women," she said.

The WEF will be held in Vladivostok on September 2-4.
