A Russian company intends to invest about 10 billion rubles in creation of a health resort complex in Abkhazia, according to the website of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

"Currently, the work is underway to agree on the terms of investment in Abkhazia, to determine guarantees for the investor and the amount of preferences. The estimated volume of investments is about 10 billion rubles", - the report says.

The department clarified that the work will involve Russian specialists, who are not present in Abkhazia. In addition Russian materials, machinery and equipment will be used in the construction.

The contract is planned to be signed at the end of this year.

As the President of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhania said in an interview to the Abkhazian television, the tourist complex will be built in Pitsunda. He called the project unprecedented in modern history in terms of its size and noted that its implementation will allow creation of about 2 thousand jobs with high salaries.
