Pedigree cattle herd of Udmurtia was replenished with 1160 heifers which arrived to the Republic from Denmark and Hungary, as Ministry of agriculture of the region informed.

Imported cows joined the herds of Dubrovskoye Ecofarm in Kiasovsky district, Oshmes in Sharkansky district and Mitchurin collective farm in Vavozhsky district. Michurin, Vavozhsky District. The potential milk productivity of heifers is 12-14 thousand kilograms of milk. For comparison, in 2020 the milk yield per cow in the farm reached 9.8 thousand kilograms, the agency added.

Last year Udmurt agrarians bought 3.5 thousand breeding stock, 17% of them were imported breeds. Agrarians are subsidized to purchase animals, partially reimbursing their expenses: in 2020 the Ministry of Agriculture of Udmurtia has subsidized 88 applications for the total amount of 114.2 million rubles.
