About 500 companies from 19 countries will participate in MAKS 2021
The participants of Air Show MAKS 2021 will include 479 companies from nineteen countries, the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow region reported.
As the head of the ministry Ekaterina Zinovieva said, the event, which takes place in Zhukovsky near Moscow from 20 to 25 July, will be attended by more than 60 companies from the Moscow region. They will present unique products that haven't been demonstrated anywhere before.
For example, a production prototype of the offshore helicopter Mi-171A3 designed for use in offshore fields development will be presented at the airshow for the first time. One more development of the specialists from Moscow region is a regional medium-range Il-114-300.
During the air show the launch of a multipurpose laboratory module "Science" will also take place which, as it is noted in the press service, will be one of the greatest events in the astronautics of the last decade.
Khimki Scientific Production Association named after Lavochkin will present a number of models of spacecraft that are already used in satellite systems, a mock-up of the landing station to practice basic technologies for soft landing on the surface of the moon and a mock-up of the landing platform of the mission "ExoMars-2022".
"Also at the air show, Moscow Region companies will present optical systems for aviation, electric engines for small aircraft and many samples of other equipment for the space and aviation industry," the ministry's press service said.
Science and Engineering Company of Zhukovsky will present to the audience a lightweight two-seat aircraft Sigma-7, capable of rapidly folding the wings on the sides of the fuselage. New technologies of shock-sensitive materials were also used in this technique.
