The Ministry of Transport has presented a strategy for digital transformation of the transport industry. The press service of the ministry noted that its priority is the use of domestic software.

The document includes six key initiatives: "Drones for passengers and cargoes", "Green digital passenger corridor", "Seamless freight logistics", "Digital management of transport system of the Russian Federation", "Digitalization for transport security", "Digital twins of transport infrastructure objects".

It is expected that by 2030 Russia will ensure commercial use of drones in all modes of transport for passenger and freight transportation.

Deputy Minister of Transport of Russia Kirill Bogdanov emphasized that the key strategic goals of the document are based exactly on increasing of safety of the transport complex.

The department believes that the implementation of the strategy will allow to reduce the number of deaths in accidents by 8% due to use of unmanned vehicles.
