The boundaries of the "Bolshoy Kamen" Advanced Special Economic Development Area (ASEZ) will be expanded. The decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
According to the text of the document, new plots of land will be added to the ASEZ, where a metallurgical plant will be built, as well as railways and motorways, a seaport, a thermal power plant, power supply lines, housing and social facilities for the company's employees.
It is expected that the project will create at least 1,500 new jobs and attract over 150 billion rubles in private investment. The work is expected to be completed by 2025.
"Bolshoy Kamen" was established in Primorsky Krai in 2016. To date, it has entered into 19 agreements with an investment volume of more than 250 billion rubles, of which more than 130 billion have already been invested. The number of new jobs created is as high as 11,000.
Residents of the ASEZs enjoy a wide range of benefits and preferences, including reduced tax rates, insurance contributions and a number of simplified administrative procedures.
