The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia (Minpromtorg) has urged dairy producers to become more actively involved in the "Honest Mark" national labelling system.

According to the ministry, joining the labelling system will allow companies to test the maximum number of business processes and prepare for the entry into force of mandatory labelling requirements on 1 September and 1 December 2021.

Currently, more than 20 thousand companies are registered in the system of product labeling, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said. Of legal entities that will be subject to mandatory labeling from September 1, 2021, 89% registered in the system, while 44% of individual entrepreneurs. Participants in the third phase of labeling, which will start December 1, 2021, were 84% of legal entities and 14% of individual entrepreneurs.
