The American company Netflix has announced the start of filming of the first Russian drama series Anna K.

Anna Nagler, Director of Original Series for Central and Eastern Europe and Russia, noted that the team is excited about the start of work in the new and interesting region. "We hope that our project will appeal to viewers around the world. We are working together with outstanding representatives of the Russian film industry, and now we are happy to announce a bright team of actors," she said.

The role of the protagonist in the series will perform Svetlana Hodchenkova. Her on-screen husband Alexei Karenin play Fyodor Bondarchuk.

Also in the series will play Julia Alexandrova (Daria "Dolly" Oblonsky), Gosha Kutsenko (Stepan "Steve" Oblonsky), Yuri Borisov (Konstantin Levin), Alexander Tsypkin (Sergei Koznyshev), Tatiana Dogileva (Agafya Mikhailovna) and Dasha Vereshchagina (Kitty Scherbatskaya).

Actor, who will play the role of Alexei Vronsky, will be voiced later. "There will be other amazing actors in the series, so not all the secrets are revealed yet.
