The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) commented on the situation around the supply of domestic vaccine against Sputnik V coronavirus to Argentina.

Earlier, the newspaper La Naсion wrote, citing a letter from CeciliaNiccolini,adviser to the president of Argentina , to RDIF that in July Argentina had not received 5.5 million doses of the first component of Sputnik V and 13.1 million doses of the second component. She said the contract with Russia was in danger of being terminated, noting that other suppliers were meeting their obligations.

Later, a presidential spokesman said that the RDIF is in contact with the contractor in order to regulate the problems that arise. He described the supply situation as "not a disruption, but a delay" and added that "the top priority is to meet the vaccination needs of Russians.
