Russian vaccine against coronavirus infection will start to be produced in large volumes in September thanks to localization of production in other countries, the press service of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) said.
"Increased production of Sputnik V” will take place as early as September 2021. Due to the localization of production in many countries, additional production facilities will soon be commissioned in Argentina, India, China, South Korea and a number of other countries," the statement said.
Earlier, the media reported on delays in supplies of Sputnik V to Argentina. Also in late June. Health Minister of Guatemala Amelia Flores said that the country was asking Russia to refund money for the purchase of Sputnik V vaccine due to delays in deliveries. Later, RDIF said that two flights would soon deliver the vaccine to the country.
