Ukraine imposes sanctions against Wildberries

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has approved the imposition of sanctions against Russian online retailer Wildberries and the company's co-founders for three years. The corresponding decree was published on the website of the Ukrainian head of state.

The sanctions list includes Wildberries and its Ukrainian, Russian, Polish, Armenian, Belarusian, Kyrgyz and Kazakh divisions.

Also on the list were the non-profit organizations "Centre for the official representation of the Donetsk people's republic in France", "Association of the representation of the Donetsk people's republic in France" and "Association France-Crimea".

It is specified that the sanctions against Wildberries include the blocking of assets, a complete ban on the transit of resources through Ukraine, prevention of capital withdrawal from Ukraine, suspension of economic and financial obligations, termination of telecommunications services, a ban on the transfer of technology and intellectual property rights.

In addition, the president approved personal sanctions against Wildberries owner Tetyana Bakalchuk and her husband Vladyslav Bakalchuk.

Also on the list were Wildberries IT development director Andriy Revyashko, head of the Books direction at the company Oleksiy Kuzmenko, founder of the Donetsk People's Republic's official representation center in France Gerard-Hubert Fayar and employee of the Donetsk International Press Center (DONi) Kristel Nean.
