Trade turnover between Russia and Iran increased by 15% in six months

The trade turnover between Russia and Iran in the first six months of 2021 increased by 15%. This was reported by Rustam Zhiganshin, the Russian trade representative in Iran.

"The Russian-Iranian trade turnover increased in 2020. It also shows positive dynamics at the beginning of this year: in the first six months of 2021, the trade turnover grew by 15%. At that, exports increased by 16%, imports from Iran - by 14%", - said Zhiganshin.

It's worth mentioning that the development of trade relations between the countries is not the first year. In 2020, the trade turnover between the two states was $2.22 billion.
