The Legislative Assembly of the Sverdlovsk region supported full privatization of the Reftinskaya poultry farm.

According to the media, since 2017 the production is considered unprofitable: as of today it has more than 1 billion rubles in loans and credits, due to which there is a risk of its closure. The company employs 2.3 thousand people.

The regional authorities expect that privatization will help preserve and develop the production. The new owner will have to invest into modernization, as at the moment the company uses outdated poultry farming technologies.

The tender will be announced in August, and the auction will be held in early September. The market value of the 100% shares of the company is a little bit more than 2 billion rubles.

The poultry farm started up in 1981 and until recently it was one of the largest poultry farms in the region.
