Manufacturers of specialized machinery and equipment in Russia have been given subsidies to provide discounts to buyers, the country's Ministry of Industry and Trade (Minpromtorg) said.

"Companies producing machinery and equipment for processing agricultural raw materials and food production (photo separators, grain dryers, equipment for the dairy and bakery industries) were compensated with 91.3 million rubles. Earlier the companies paid discounts for the purchase of these products," said the agency.

In addition, factories, which provided customers with discounts when buying road-building, municipal and trailer equipment (backhoe loaders, graders, municipal vehicles, cranes, motor graders), received more than $100 million.

According to the authorities, in 2021 3 billion rubles of budgetary funds will be allocated for implementation of the subsidy program for manufacturers of specialized machinery and equipment.
