Guatemala and RDIF awarded a new contract to supply Sputnik V vaccine
The Guatemalan government and the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) have signed a new contract to supply the Republic with the covid-19 vaccine Sputnik V.
"I am pleased to announce that we have concluded a new contract for the purchase of the Sputnik V vaccine," Amelia Flores, head of Guatemala's Ministry of Health, said during a press conference on Twitter.
According to her, the country's authorities have set a delivery schedule until the end of the year, batches of Russian vaccine should arrive in the country every month: the next queue of 100 thousand doses of the drug will arrive in the country on July 29.
Earlier Guatemala asked Russia to refund money for the purchase of Sputnik V vaccine due to delays in deliveries. RDIF commented that it continues to fulfill its obligations under the contract.
