Bashkortostan's budding farmers have received almost 155 million rubles in grants under the Agrostartup program, the republic's Ministry of Agriculture said.
"So, 50 out of 200 applicants among the farmers who scored the highest points for their business plans will get the opportunity to use the subsidy to finance their projects in 2021," the ministry said.
Head of the Ministry Ilshat Fazrakhmanov said the region today needs rural entrepreneurs able not only to produce agricultural products but also to get competitive products in the market. "All in all we are planning to increase processing volumes of agricultural products twice in the nearest future and we hope very much that "Agrostartap" grant holders will become active participants in this process", he noted.
Last year 68 beginning rural entrepreneurs received grants from Agrostartap for 211.5 million rubles.
