Shcherbinsky Lift Plant (SHLZ) in Moscow has equipped elevators of its own production with contactless control system. Now it is possible to call up the elevator through a special mobile application without touching the buttons, said Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of the capital.

"There are four manufacturers of elevators in Moscow. At the end of last year, they produced 15.4 thousand lifts, which is 10.6% more than in 2019. Among them is Shcherbinsky plant, which emphasizes in its work on the introduction of new technologies. Thus, the company has equipped lifts of its own production with contactless control systems. It has already been tested in one of the capital multi-storey buildings, and the plant is ready to supply lifts equipped with the new system", - told Efimov.

As explained at the City Hall, the "smart" elevator is equipped with a special controller, which receives a signal from a mobile phone. To use such elevator, it is necessary to download the application SmartAirKey to the smartphone, indicate there the desired floor, and the distance from which the system will call the elevator for the user. The maximum range is 20 meters. The system "sees" a potential passenger via Bluetooth and sends a call signal to the lift, which opens the doors when approaching.

SmartAirKey can be synchronized with the whole access system of the residential complex: from the entrance gate to the cabin, if all systems have similar controllers. The solution is universal and suitable for any SHLZ lifts, allowing them to "recognize" each passenger by a smartphone and send them to the right floor. This completely eliminates the need for contact with surfaces, including elevator buttons.

The development is particularly relevant in a pandemic, said Anton Artemyev, general director of SHLZ.

"Developers of residential complexes will be able to create a single access environment, providing a comprehensive security solution. We can safely say that the "smart" elevator will be a new trend, because the application is completely hands-free, you just need to have your phone instead of a lot of keys and access cards. Already now, when buying a home, people consider the "convenient" options and technological solutions, so the attractiveness of the property directly depends on the actual solutions," said the director of the plant.
