United Metallurgical Company's (OMK) Chusovskoy plant has shipped its first batch of Springer springs to the UAE. The customer is Petro Mechanical Incorporation, an importer of truck parts in the Middle East.

The shipment includes 26 tonnes of springs and leaf springs for Volvo, Scania, Man, Mercedes and Mercedes-Benz. By the end of the year, the company plans to ship to the UAE about 300 tons of spring products.

Azat Imamov, the plant's managing director, said the service life of the springs is 60% longer compared to other companies due to the use of high-tech lubricants and components.

The Chusovskoy OMK plant is one of the country's leading manufacturers of automotive components for domestic and foreign trucks.

Today the company is a supplier of spare parts for the largest car manufacturers in Russia and also exports products to CIS countries. All products are certified by such companies as Volvo, Ford and Iveco.
