Russians will be able to fly to Sri Lanka by direct Aeroflot flights from September 2

Russian airline Aeroflot has opened direct flights to Sri Lanka, the airline's press service said.

"Aeroflot has opened the sale of tickets for direct flights between Moscow and Colombo. The flights will be operated twice a week starting from September 2," the statement said.

Thus, flights from Moscow to Colombo will be realized on Thursdays and Saturdays, departing at 23.40, from Colombo to Moscow at 23.55 on Fridays and Sundays.

Aeroflot has clarified that Russians can enter Sri Lanka by obtaining an electronic visa in advance. A negative test for covid-19 in English, made no earlier than 72 hours before departure, is required for travel. A repeat test must be taken on arrival at the destination airport.
