In Cheboksary farmers will be able to participate in weekend fairs for free

Weekend fairs will start working in Cheboksary on August 7. According to the city mayor's office, farmers will be able to take part in them for free - there will be no rent for the sales point.

Marketplaces will be opened on the territory of trade house "Shupashkar", complexes "Severny" and "Nikolaevsky". "Local producers of goods at the fairs will be exempt from the rent and intermediaries' services, so we will reduce the prices of products as much as possible. We will organize free delivery and volunteer help for pensioners and privileged categories of citizens," noted the regional authorities.

Also district heads have been instructed to consider options for opening fairs at additional locations.

It is noted that in mid-September, farmers will be able to provide seasonal fruit and vegetables for residents at minimal prices.

It is worth noting that so far the city has recorded a rise in prices of pasta, apples, milk and biscuits. Prices of onions, potatoes, beets and cabbage have risen by an average of 9% to 23%.
