The Russian Export Centre has launched a business mission for 23 domestic confectioners. It will last until August 30, 2021.

Targeted negotiations with potential bakers and major retailers from China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Kazakhstan and Morocco will be held for participants for four weeks.

Alexander Belyashov, Head of the Agency and Partner Network of the Russian Export Center, said that export of confectionery products from Russia is showing confident growth now.

"In the commodity groups "flour confectionery and bread", "sugar confectionery" export growth from January to March this year compared to the same period last year was 7.18% and 7.68% respectively," Belyashov said. He noted that the main consumers are Kazakhstan, Belarus, Azerbaijan and Germany.

The expert expressed confidence that the business mission will promote Russian products and have a positive impact on development of cooperation between the states.
