In February-May 2021 Russia exported vaccines worth $303.6 million. Such data was published by the Federal Customs Service (FCS).

According to RBC, we are talking about pharmaceutical products under the classification code TN VED 3 002 200 009 ("other vaccines for human"). The volume of deliveries abroad for this type of goods was 159 tons.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade explained that the increase in exports of products under this code is associated primarily with "deliveries of antivaccines to international markets. The main share of exports belongs to the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine.

It should be noted that over the three previous years Russia exported 468.3 tons of preparations under the named code. Their total value amounted to 182.1 million dollars.
