A new waste processing complex will appear in the Irkutsk region
RT-Neo, a regional waste management operator in the Irkutsk Region, is investing about 1.5 billion rubles to build a waste processing complex near Angarsk.
The company said that it will help to sort up to 70% of waste in the South of the Irkutsk region and reduce the amount of waste disposed of in the landfill to 50% in the future.
It is assumed that it will be launched already in 2022. Its capacity will be about 600 thousand tons of waste sorting per year. The launch will allow separating waste into all types of useful fractions: plastic, glass, metal, waste paper.
The sorting complex will consist of three identical parallel lines: sorting, baling of "tails" of sorting and pressing of recyclables.
Works on the construction of the plant have already begun.
Let us remind you that there are no waste sorting complexes in the Irkutsk region at the moment, but landfills with sorting elements are being built and designed.
