Tinkoff Bank's parent company capitalized more than $20 billion

The market value of TCS Group founded by Oleg Tinkov has exceeded $20 billion for the first time, according to data from the London Stock Exchange for August 17.

In one day, the value of depositary receipts reached $100.55 apiece, while at the close of trading the previous day the price was $98. The capitalization rose by more than $508 million for the day, taking into account the total number of shares. According to the information on the company's website, the main investor is Tinkov's family trust with about 35% of the shares. That means Tinkov accounted for about $178 million.

Earlier this year, the billionaire said that Tinkoff Bank planned to become "Russia's second largest bank after Sber.
