Service "Samokat" has surpassed its competitors in Europe and the U.S. on the number of warehouses (darkstores), from which goods are delivered to customers, said the press service of the company.

Thus, according to the delivery service, "Samokat" currently has 722 locations. More than 320 darkstores have been opened since April in 18 Russian cities, according to Forbes.

The company specified that, citing July data of the Sifted project, the network of local warehouses of a similar German service Delivery Hero consists of 600 points in 35 countries. A Turkish Getir - about 500 warehouses in Turkey and 28 darkstores in London. As Insider Voice reported in early June, the company intends to launch in the United States, Amsterdam, Berlin and Paris.

Also in Samokat, citing information from TechCrunch in July, said that the service Gopuff has the most darkstores in the U.S. today. That company operates 450 sites in North America, the UK and Europe (285 of which are darkstores). In May, Gopuff announced the purchase of the British delivery service Fancy with a network of local warehouses (according to the company's website it has 76 outlets in the UK), and in August it was reported that the service will buy the startup Dija with a network of about 40 darkstores.

According to "Samokat", today it is surpassed only by a similar Chinese service Miss Fresh, which has more than 1,500 points in 20 cities of China (according to the AFN portal in July last year). In Russia, Samokat's main competitor, according to Forbes, is Yandex.Lavka.
