The Salekhard integrated factory received permission to export fish products abroad. This was reported by the press service of the regional government.
Lubov Ohman, Deputy Director of the district's Department of the Agroindustrial Complex, noted that the combine was the first Yamal enterprise to receive the right to export fish products.
"This will allow Yamal to ensure the successful implementation of the national project 'International Cooperation and Export' by increasing the supply of agricultural products abroad and expanding the list of purchasing countries," Ohman said.
The first markets will be Kazakhstan and Belarus, followed by Kyrgyzstan and Armenia.
We are now negotiating contracts with our customers. Shipment of products is expected to start within two weeks.
The potential export supply of deep-processed fish products is estimated to be 240 tons a year, equal to 1 million cans.
Annually, the combine processes more than 3 thousand tons of fish, about 4 million cans of canned fish and more than 90 kinds of various fish products.
