A movie with the actor from "Khatiko" will be shot in Baikal

BaikalKino" film company will take part in shooting the film "Spirit of Baikal". Dina Podprugina, the general director of the film company, told about it to the "Made in Russia" editorial board on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum.

She said that the mystical story will be about a boy who lost his mother and now is looking for the meaning of life. In this he is helped by the Spirit of Baikal.

"The film agreed to shoot the American-Japanese actor Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (known for his participation in the films "Hachiko: The Most Loyal Friend", "Memoirs of a Geisha" - note). We hope that in 2022 we will start shooting", - said Podprugina.

Mikhail Raskhodnikov acts as a director and screenwriter, and the team of "BaikalKino" has to provide the entire production process. "They will come to Buryatia, to Baikal, and we will have to provide the whole production process. We will have to meet them, find locations, help with actors and props. This is a huge amount of work," the head of the company said.

Podprugina did not disclose financial details of the contract.

The Eastern Economic Forum takes place in Vladivostok from second to fourth September. The main theme of this year's event is "New Opportunities for the Far East in a Changing World". The forum is organised by the Roscongress Foundation.
