Russian automaker KAMAZ together with French-Swiss engineering group GreenGT are studying possibilities to develop a truck with a hydrogen engine, the press-service of the domestic company informed.
It is specified that the parties have signed a memorandum for the development of industrial trucks with hydrogen-powered electric drive.
"Today, KAMAZ and GreenGT are demonstrating a 44-tonne prototype truck with a hydrogen fuel cell system. <...> There are two versions of this prototype with 12 and 6 large hydrogen tanks, with a total storage capacity of about 45 kilograms of hydrogen," the press service said.
Thus, the car has zero emissions, its power is 570 hp, range is 500 kilometers, and it takes less than 15 minutes to recharge.
The official demonstration is due to take place in November during the Swiss Motor Show in Bern.
