"Rostselmash has launched the construction of the largest tractor plant in the Rostov region with an investment of over 6 billion rubles.

"The enterprise with a capacity of up to 5 thousand machines per year will significantly increase production of Russian Rostselmash tractors, as well as construction and road-building equipment. The company intends to put the enterprise into operation by the end of 2022", - the company reports.

The tractor plant with the area of 14 hectares and production area of 62 thousand square meters will be located at one of the Rostselmash sites in Rostov-on-Don. They will produce a full range of tractors with articulated and classical articulated frame, on tracks and road-building machinery. The enterprise will employ modern industrial technologies and Lean Production tools. The erection of the plant will create 1,850 new jobs.

"I am confident that the Rostselmash tractor factory will allow our society to move forward. Almost 2 thousand people who will work at the plant will give jobs to tens of thousands more, supplying components, promoting this equipment, servicing it. With these thousands of our new employees and partners the city of Rostov-on-Don, Rostov region will develop," said Konstantin Babkin, co-owner of Rostselmash.

The company started developing its own full-cycle tractor production in August 2016. In 5 years, the company has increased production of Russian tractors from 50 to 1.3 thousand units per year.
