Russian automaker Kamaz presented a K6 generation truck - KAMAZ-54907 (Continent) at the Comtrans-2021 exhibition.

"This is a tractor of a completely new type. During its development the company's engineers aimed to create an absolutely new truck, which will satisfy the needs of long haul trucking industry. The novelty embodies a lot of technical solutions that literally can be called untypical for the domestic market", - the company's press-service says.

Among the new technological solutions - hybrid engine, working on diesel fuel and electricity. Consumption of diesel fuel in the truck is 17% lower than in the previous model KAMAZ-54901. In addition, it has the third degree of autonomy: it can move independently in a straight line, change lanes, stop before obstacles and maintain a specified speed when moving in a column.

Side mirrors are replaced by cameras, which transmit video data to the monitors on the front pillars inside the cabin. Among other things, there is only one seat in the cab - for the driver.

"The seat with permanently active electromagnetic suspension allows 90% of the vibration to be dampened. The load on the driver's spine is therefore minimal. In a comfortable and optimal for life interior - a refrigerator, multicooker, washbasin and a safe", - said in "Kamaz".

To assess the condition of the driver, to signal increased fatigue or dangerous driving will be two cameras. Control over the navigation and receive phone calls the truck driver will be able through a display. A non-contact breathalyzer installed over the driver's seat will prevent the engine from starting if the person is intoxicated, the company said.
