The Russian Ministry of Health has approved the use of Ultrix Quadri vaccine produced by Rostec State Corporation's Natsimbio holding company for immunization of all age categories.

According to Rostec, the Ultrix Quadri vaccine provides protection against four current strains of influenza virus. The drug does not contain preservatives, stabilizers and adjuvants - substances used to enhance the immune response.

"All Ultrix Quadri volunteers developed high values of antibodies to influenza viruses, while none of them experienced complications or serious side effects," said Andrei Zagorsky, CEO of Natsimbio.

"Ultrix Quadri is used in Russia in accordance with the state plan to transition to the use of quadrivalent vaccines to prevent influenza. The drug entered international markets in 2020.
