At the end of 2021, trade turnover between Russia and Kazakhstan could reach a record $23 billion. This was reported by the Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Russia Yermek Kosherbayev.

"An optimistic forecast that this year we will reach a record trade turnover. We assume (that the trade turnover will be" 23 billion dollars," TASS quoted him as saying.

He noted that in January - June 2021, the bilateral trade turnover has already reached almost $11 billion. That is 27% more than during the same period in 2020.

In this regard, Kosherbayev stressed that "the potential of bilateral relations is far from exhausted," and noted that Russia remains the key political, trade and economic partner of Kazakhstan.
