Residents of the Far East will be able to register vehicles imported from abroad without installing the ERA-GLONASS system for another year, according to the official website of the Russian government.

The permit will be prolonged until December 3, 2022. The temporary order applies to second-hand right-hand cars bought for personal needs.

It is specified that the easing will be used by car owners registered in the Far Eastern Federal District, as well as those who plan to move there for permanent residence.
