A new automated warehouse was opened at the Nokia Tyres logistics centre in Vsevolozhsk, Leningrad region.
Today this warehouse is the most modern, it has no analogues neither in Russia, nor in the world. Its area is 16154 square meters, but due to new technologies and increased capacity of storage it can hold 550 000 tires.
Moving tyres around the factory and storage area before transportation is automatic, which significantly reduces manual labour in the production process and improves logistics.
The volume of investments into the project amounted to more than 2.5 billion rubles.
The plant in Vsevolozhsk is the main production site of the Nokian Tyres Group. In 2021 it produced 82% of all car tires of the brand.
