Over the past five years, the Krasnodar Region has been able to attract investments worth a total of $5 billion. Vasily Vorobiev, head of the Krasnodar Region's Department for Investment and Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, made the announcement.
"The Krasnodar region is one of the most investment-attractive regions of the Russian Federation. According to the annual survey of foreign companies conducted by the international consulting agency Ernst&Young, the region is the most promising for doing business. Over the past 5 years, since 2016, the region's economy has received more than $5 billion in direct foreign investment," TASS quoted him as saying.
Vorobyov said that about 300 enterprises with foreign capital from more than 30 countries have already been created and are now operating in Kuban. According to the head of the department, many well-known companies from Germany, France, USA, Sweden, Austria, Italy, Turkey, Switzerland, Denmark and other countries are strategic partners of the region.
Earlier, it became known that Kuban has been named the most attractive tourist region for investors.
Its authors have studied tourist attractiveness for investment of 11 regions of Russia on the basis of clusters and institutional development environment, revenue, expenditure, risks, as well as the financial performance of the industry and attractions.
