Engineers of KAMAZ's Research and Development Centre have developed and presented a KAMAZ-6292 harmonica electric bus on a special order from Mosgortrans.

The new model is an articulated low-floor electric bus of a large class.

Its total passenger capacity is 135 persons, of which 48 seats, including four seats for persons of a priority category.

It is also equipped with CCTV cameras, satellite navigation, upgraded climate control system and USB-connectors for charging phones.

The company noted that the new electric bus meets all requirements for safety and comfort of passengers and allows recharging by means of ultra-fast charging stations.

In the near future, the prototype will be sent to Moscow for testing to identify possible defects of the new model in the conditions of congested roads of the capital.

Series production of KAMAZ articulated electric buses is scheduled to begin in 2022.
