Yandex launched an educational program for Yandex. Taxi". Drivers will be able to learn IT professions from scratch and find a new job.

As told in the press service of "Yandex. Taxi", 20 million rubles were allocated for this purpose. The program will be implemented in partnership with the service of online education "Yandex.Praktikum".

Will be able to pass selection on free training 150 thousand drivers who cooperate with "Yandex" more than three years. Taxi drivers will be able to master such professions as data analyst, graphic designer, web developer, programmer in C++, Java or Python. The training will take place in the online format. After passing the course, drivers will receive a certificate which will enable them to find work in their new specialty with the help of the Yandex.Practicum employment program.

In order to take part, they must register in Yandex.Praktikum and fill in an application till 25 September. At the first stage, participants will undergo career guidance and study an introductory course in their chosen specialty, then they will have to undergo motivation testing.

Yandex tested the training program for drivers last year. Earlier the company helped to master new professions in IT to couriers - partners of "Yandex. Meals". The cost of the course for one person was 50-100 thousand roubles.
