Ozon allowed self-employed people to register as sellers

Self-employed people will be able to register as sellers on retailer Ozon's platform from September 30.

"Ozon starts cooperation with self-employed entrepreneurs - they will be able to sell a wide range of goods of their own production on the platform", - reported the company's press service.

To do so, the self-employed must go through the standard registration procedure in the seller's personal account. Ozon will then automatically check the self-employed person's status on the Federal Tax Service website immediately at the registration stage.

Entrepreneurs will be able to sell any goods on the marketplace which they have manufactured themselves. The exceptions will be excisable goods and products subject to compulsory marking or requiring registration of a trademark. The commission for the sale of goods and other retailer services for self-employed sellers will be the same as for other sellers.

Self-employed sellers will work with the marketplace using the "Seller's warehouse" model: they will store goods at their warehouse and send them to Ozon's sorting centres, from where they will be delivered to customers. It is also possible to arrange delivery to customers independently through any logistics service. In addition, self-employed people will be able to use the "Flexible payment schedule" financial tool. We are talking about daily charges for the sale of goods.
