The Russian Pavilion opened at Expo 2020 in Dubai

The Russian Pavilion opened as part of Expo 2020 in Dubai. The opening ceremony was attended by the general commissioner of the Pavilion of Russia and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Alexey Gruzdev, Secretary General of the International Bureau of Exhibitions Dimitri Kerkenzes and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, according to the Roscongress website.

The Russian pavilion will become one of the largest on the territory of the fairgrounds. Its main topic is "Creative Mind: Driving the Future", and the architectural image embodies the idea of continuous movement as a guarantee of successful development. The pavilion will talk about scientific and cultural achievements of past epochs and demonstrate the possibilities of creative mind.

Gruzdev noted that "Expo" will become an additional impulse for development of cooperation between Russia and the UAE. He recalled that 192 countries are taking part in the exhibition. "This is the largest number of countries that participated in the Expo, so we can safely say that this is a great opportunity for Russia to talk to the world about technology, science, creative intelligence, innovation and, of course, culture for 182 days," he said.

Several regions - Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod region, Tatarstan and Komi - will be represented at the Russian Pavilion.

Business program will also include discussions of topical issues and challenges in different spheres - urbanism, medicine, space, education, culture, tourism, science, transport and logistics.

The forum which will bring together representatives of leading Russian and foreign companies will be held in early December. It will be devoted to the international and Russian-Arab cooperation in the field of economy and investment. Experts will discuss Russia's investment opportunities and present flagship projects to introduce new technologies, develop innovative business models, and create topical products and services in the energy, healthcare, tourism, IT, transport and finance sectors.

Next March, the Russia Creates Forum will take place here, where all the best Russian practices in the creative industry will be accumulated.

In total during the exhibition there will be more than 60 business and cultural events.

Expo 2020 was launched in Dubai (UAE) on October 1 and will run until March 31 next year. It will be one of the largest in history. The main theme this year is Connecting Minds, Creating the Future.
