"Russian Post is launching a service for online shops and individual entrepreneurs who often send parcels with cash on delivery. From October 18, they will be able to receive money for the sold goods without waiting for them from the buyer, the company said.

According to the Deputy Director General on e-commerce in the company Alexei Skatin, sellers of goods are often faced with cash gaps: when the product has already been sold and sent, but the money for its sale have not yet arrived. In his opinion, this will be especially acute in autumn and winter, when sales will increase significantly.

"The new seller credit service will enable our customers to promptly receive funds for goods sold at a low rate. We are sure that this will allow sellers and online stores to feel more confident and will directly affect the development of stores and sales growth," Russian Post quoted Skatin as saying.

The service can be used by e-commerce companies registered in the personal account otpravka.pochta.ru of "Russian Post" and sending goods with cash on delivery on a regular basis. The customer will be able to choose a convenient way to receive funds - to an account in the personal office of Russian Post or to a bank account in any bank.

It is specified that overpayment for the customer will be about 2 rubles per day with an average check of 3.2 thousand rubles. Entrepreneurs will be able to repay debts ahead of schedule - at any time and for any amount from the nearest cash payment receipt or by money transfer from any current account.

At the moment the project is implemented jointly with Pim Solutions. In future Russian Post is ready to work with any other credit organisation.
