"Yandex plans to supply its unmanned robot couriers Yandex Rover to Dubai. This was announced at the exhibition of information technology Gitex in Dubai World Trade Center by Sergey Kirillov, head of business development at the company, writes Inc.

According to him, one third of the city is suitable for such robots. In addition, an unmanned delivery man is 15-20% cheaper than a courier.

Today, Yandex rovers deliver up to 500 orders a day in Russia and the United States. They are created on the basis of the same technology as the IT company's unmanned cars. The delivery robots can work day and night, in rain and snow. They drive on sidewalks, and use regulated and unregulated pedestrian crossings to cross roads.
